Why do women call up and share their problems on the radio? Is it becauase they have no one else to share it with in real life? How does radio advice help them?

Its not for advice,I guess...its cos they want someone to listen to them...without interrupting, where they can speak whatever is on their mind and have no fear of being judged!!!
somewhere along the line,I needed someone who would not listen to me judging me.....people who are close to me would and then also the advice I might get would be from a person who was not at all involved in my situation or with me....so the options would be pretty more unemotional than my own people would give. Besides all that I would be answerable to me and me only if I did not heed!!!
And Anil ,you know why I called....to speak with you...LOL
Hey, Lavanya, can you please share the problem for which you called Anil....maybe that would give me confidence to make a call for my own problem....thanks!
It's not just about seeking advise. Radio allows one's thoughts and opinions to be heard, discussed and this feeling of being heard, empowers any human being who has things to say and feeling to share. Radio is just an unbiased platform and through sharing there is a lot of learning being imparted to those who have not gathered up the courage to call so there is active listening happening and an even greater passive involvement being served up with the discussions. So in a format of radio like this, the non callers are perhaps the greater beneficiaries than the one's that do call.
knowing that someone is actually there to not only hear you but understand you without judging is of great comfort to a woman who has no one to share her mind with. Anonymity sometimes is the greatest relief at the same time u r unburdened of the thoughts piling up inside you.
I am new here guys...I need to call Anil too for a personal problem ...but before that, would you mind sharing the problem for which you called Anil? @ Lavanya and @ Ruchi...just needed to know to get more confidence...thanks, my fellow cats!
hahhahaha u'll have to get his personal number to call anil n share problems with him. he is not with Meow anymore. if he gives it, leave me a msg i'll help u wid the confidence stuff :P
jokes apart.. this forum is also about us.. u can share ur problem with whoever u think can understand you. go n make frenz at the chatroom :)
Radio talk shows let most of the people come up and share in the way they want. They act as a attentive listner and encourage the speakers to throw out what all they have inside them. I use to listen to Anil's show a lot. I did try to find out many answers through the conversation between the caller and Anil. So, this is a pretty cool n cheap means to resolve the riddles...
